While I am not very confident in long range weather forecasts, I do monitor them because at the very least it shows a relative prediction of what the weather might be like. So I looked today. The predicted weather for each day's stop is listed below
Louisville, KY Hi in the mid 80's isolated Thunder Storms (Change)
Monmouth, IL Hi 80's and partly cloudy
Fairmont, MN Mid 80's and partly cloudy
Fessenden, ND Mid 80;s mostly sunny
Glasgow, MT Mid 80;s mostly sunny
And that's as far as the predictions go. I will keep checking to see if there are major changes. But it is what it is.
There is one advantage going East-West and that is you can generally plan on riding through bad weather in a day or less. Most weather systems come from west to east so you either get to ride into them or ride out of them (if its raining in the morning when you leave).
